Dirt Devil® - Reaction™ Vacuum June 2008

Dirt Devil® has introduced Reaction™, a vacuum that uses a patented new technology called D2™, or Dual Cyclonic Action, designed to deliver superior cleaning performance at an affordable price.

The Reaction by Dirt Devil is said to be the only vacuum on the market with a dual cyclone system. With two chambers, the air moves through the vacuum at much higher velocities, resulting in better dirt separation and stronger, longer-lasting suction at the floor nozzle states its manufacturer. This new D2 technology is not only designed to create more power, but sustain that power longer than any other filtered bagless vacuum, according to the standards established by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

According to Rick Carpenter, vice president of product development for Royal Appliance Mfg. Co., this bagless technology results in extremely sophisticated and efficient design. “Our research shows that many consumers equate a clean house with peace of mind, and nothing delivers that better than the new Reaction. The Reaction not only cleans carpets better through superior suction at the nozzle, but also removes 100 percent of common allergens with our lifetime, washable HEPA filter, making the air in the home easy-to-breathe,” said Carpenter. “When it comes to clean, the Reaction definitely fights dirty.”

The Reaction includes a ready-to-use stretch hose with comfort-grip handle that stretches nearly 10 feet, an extension wand and an on-board crevice tool and a 32-ft cord. Reaction also features a newly designed, filter-free dirt cup that eliminates messy interaction with a filter; and its push-button, bottom-empty dirt cup allows dirt to go straight into the trash can – not back into the air or on your newly cleaned floor.
